Eddie Mijares

Eddie Mijares is a passionate music educator and percussionist residing in Whittier, California. With a decade of experience under his belt, Eddie has been instrumental in shaping the world of marching percussion. His dedication to the craft and the students he mentors is truly commendable.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from California State University, Fullerton, where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of music and pedagogy. After completing the credential program through CSUF, he is currently the Band Director for Whittier High School. Over the years, he has left a significant mark on the marching percussion community, having worked with many programs such as Orange County Independent Percussion, Rancho-Starbuck Intermediate School, Whittier High School, Torrance High School, Centennial High School, and La Mirada High School.

Eddie’s own marching experience includes élan Percussion (2016), Gold Drum and Bugle Corps (2016), and Dark Sky Percussion (2017). His dedication to the art of percussion and his unwavering commitment to his students make Eddie Mijares a true luminary in the world of marching percussion.
